Scanning

Document scanning is a means of converting paper documents to an electronic file format such as Adobe PDF, whereas PDF provides the simplest and most cost-efficient format for your documents. It can also be down loaded for FREE, and the pages appear with all their original formatting, signatures, graphics etc. The documents can also be scanned to a CD, DVD or an external/internal hard-drive of your choice.

Scanning consists of 3 phases:

  • Prepping - This is removal of all staples, paperclips, etc.
  • Indexing - which consists of naming the documents and how you want to be able to retrieve the information. (Basic Filing system)
  • Scanning - This consists of inserting the documents into the scanner and scanning to CD/DVD-ROM or an external/internal hard-drive (Server).
